4th of July- when you want to go fishing, you gotta go where the fish are

Our church went out to the streets of Coeur d'alene Idaho on Sunday July 4.

Getting the Gospel out to the people of Coeur d'alene Idaho. The Parade was at 11am on a Sunday morning. We met at the church and prayed before we went out. It was a great day for the Lord. The float represented that we are thankful for the USA, the soldiers who died to keep us free, and for the Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ who died for our sins.

We gave out gospel tracts to the people and then had a picnic at the Havemans afterward.
What a blessing!

Summer Reading ...and God speaking

My Summer Reading program

What I have been reading the last few weeks:

1. Curriculum catalogs
2. Learning All The Time by John Holt
3. As For God His Way is Perfect by Joshua Thompson
4.The Successful Homeschool Family Handbook by the Moore's
5. Versus.com daily tracking the Tour de France- Go Lance!!!!!!!!!
6. my Bible

I prayed for God to speak to me in a special way and He did.
Today I was reading Psalm 108:1 O God , my heart is fixed.
As I read this I was thinking about a man in our church named Matt who needs a heart transplant, that someday his heart would be fixed.....I began praying for his heart to be fixed, and believing that God would answer my prayer, that God would either fix his heart here on earth or take him to heaven and give him a new heart and body ..........My phone rang. It was my husband calling to tell me that Matt had passed away last night in his home. His heart is fixed now. He is with Jesus. When I told the children, we all cried, but we know that Matt is not having any more heart trouble. I reminded them what Matt did while he was here, he read the Bible and followed what God wanted him to do. He was a good example. This is a good thing for us all to remember and do. We will see you again someday Matt!!!
